A New Year’s Secret
Most people don’t know this,
but I promise it’s true.
A fairy once told me,
Now I pass it on to you!He flew into my bedroom,
late one New Year’s Eve,
to tell me The Secret,
which I was thrilled to receive.He said “when the clock hits 12,
and the old year’s replaced,
it’s time to start fresh!
All fails get erased!”I couldn’t believe it,
these words that I heard,
but every year since,
I’ve been free as a bird!I no longer look back,
I only dream forward.
With my regrets washed away,
Just as the fairy had ordered.I never caught his name,
though it sounded like “J. Money”.
But whatever the case,
it was the best gift laid upon me.He showed me the way,
my old habits eroded.
I now focus on the future
and my wallet’s exploded!So as you start the new year,
don’t forget The Secret in haste.
It’s time to kick ass!
All fails get erased!
